This is a rerun blog from 2009, however after my radio show last night I thought I would run it again. Cheers, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Folks,
For those of you who have your astrological birth charts, go dust them off and get ready for review. I highly recommend that you look to see where transiting Saturn (1° Libra), and transiting Pluto (1° Capricorn) fall in your charts. Pluto has stationed at Capricorn several times of late, but Saturn is now ready to make itself known in Libra; both of which directly relate to the Aries Point right this minute.
Pluto is the planet of grand change, the collective, and the hidden, and Saturn is the planet of ambition, authority figures, and conservatism. Capricorn is the last Cardinal sign (action) in the natural sequence of the astrological circle, and represents a specialized mode of energy presentation. Libra, also a Cardinal sign represents an accentuation of the social with an emphasis on striving for balance within relationships.
Pluto has made its presence known over the last several years by going in and out of the signs of Sagittarius and Capricorn. This is true particularly within the parameters of idealism (Sagittarius) and the administration of the practical and pragmatic (Capricorn). You can do your own political analysis of the previous political administration, and the one in the white house now, but I don’t think that you can argue that significant change has not occurred since the Bush, and Obama administrations took power.
I recently covered the Aries Point in a previous blog, but I’ll try to reconvey the basics of the AP here. The Aries Point is a powerfully sensitive astrological point in any chart, and in any cardinal sign at 0° (that would be Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn), and particularly now within the collective (Pluto). More specifically, the AP represents the potential for projection into public awareness through the planet and sign that is represented. The AP relates to our connection to the world and can be likened to a conduit or portal as an outward projection and emphasis.
Pluto and the AP suggests the potential for the pioneering of power, and an amending of change through revolution and rebellion. Think health care, military presence in both Iraq, and Afghanistan, as well as our nation’s monetary difficulties with the who, where, and why all neatly entwined within our own psyche and responsibility as a people and nation.
Saturn at the AP strongly suggests the potential for the perception by other nations (I am speaking globally) for the US to be seen as disciplined, self sufficient, and ambitious. You might say that other countries already see the US this way, but I would like to remind you that the perception of the US has fallen a long way over the last eight or nine years. This is the opportunity for all of America and Americans to lift themselves back up into the seat of respectability; something that has been missing since Gitmo, 9-11, and quite possibly corrupt and stolen elections.
Nationally, our response needs to be a collective one such as how we interact with one another, and how we see ourselves. It will be necessary to become more disciplined, using our restraint regarding tolerance of other groups and religions against political and military knee jerk responses. We must reinstate the self sufficiency of our political ideology, and regain our ambition to do the right things for the for the right reasons, and correct the wrongs of the past.
Blessings
