Saturn, Pluto, and the Aries Point

This is a rerun blog from 2009, however after my radio show last night I thought I would run it again.  Cheers, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Folks,

For those of you who have your astrological birth charts, go dust them off and get ready for review.  I highly recommend that you look to see where transiting Saturn (1° Libra), and transiting Pluto (1° Capricorn) fall in your charts.  Pluto has stationed at Capricorn several times of late, but Saturn is now ready to make itself known in Libra; both of which directly relate to the Aries Point right this minute.

Pluto is the planet of grand change, the collective, and the hidden, and Saturn is the planet of ambition, authority figures, and conservatism.  Capricorn is the last Cardinal sign (action) in the natural sequence of the astrological circle, and represents a specialized mode of energy presentation.  Libra, also a Cardinal sign represents an accentuation of the social with an emphasis on striving for balance within relationships.

Pluto has made its presence known over the last several years by going in and out of the signs of Sagittarius and Capricorn.  This is true particularly within the parameters of idealism (Sagittarius) and the administration of the practical and pragmatic (Capricorn).  You can do your own political analysis of the previous political administration, and the one in the white house now, but I don’t think that you can argue that significant change has not occurred since the Bush, and Obama administrations took power.

I recently covered the Aries Point in a previous blog, but I’ll try to reconvey the basics of the AP here. The Aries Point is a powerfully sensitive astrological point in any chart, and in any cardinal sign at 0° (that would be Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn), and particularly now within the collective (Pluto).  More specifically, the AP represents the potential for projection into public awareness through the planet and sign that is represented.  The AP relates to our connection to the world and can be likened to a conduit or portal as an outward projection and emphasis.

Pluto and the AP suggests the potential for the pioneering of power, and an amending of change through revolution and rebellion.  Think health care, military presence in both Iraq, and Afghanistan, as well as our nation’s monetary difficulties with the who, where, and why all neatly entwined within our own psyche and responsibility as a people and nation.

Saturn at the AP strongly suggests the potential for the perception by other nations (I am speaking globally) for the US to be seen as disciplined, self sufficient, and ambitious.  You might say that other countries already see the US this way, but I would like to remind you that the perception of the US has fallen a long way over the last eight or nine years.  This is the opportunity for all of America and Americans to lift themselves back up into the seat of respectability; something that has been missing since Gitmo, 9-11, and quite possibly corrupt and stolen elections.

Nationally, our response needs to be a collective one such as how we interact with one another, and how we see ourselves.  It will be necessary to become more disciplined, using our restraint regarding tolerance of other groups and religions against political and military knee jerk responses.  We must reinstate the self sufficiency of our political ideology, and regain our ambition to do the right things for the for the right reasons, and correct the wrongs of the past.

Blessings

Pluto and the Underworld: Garrido, Fritzl

Hi Folks

In my opinion, the planets in Astrology are not the cause of unsettling events, they just herald them in.  I find it so very disturbing of the seemingly recent back to back high profile cases of the two young girls who were abducted; one in her own home, and the other only a short distance from her home.  Unfortunately, these two highly publicized cases are not unusual by any means, just so very similar in their circumstances.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Roman or Greek mythology, the planet Pluto (yes, I still count it as a planet), and Hades (more…)

Moon’s Closest Orbit To Earth In 18 Years Next Week

Hi All,

Well, noted Astrologer Richard Nolle predicts massive destruction on our planet come March 19, 2011, or in just about a week’s time.  The Moon will be in a full Moon stage, and only 221,567 miles away from Earth.  You can visit Mr. Nolle’s website at www.astropro.com.  Nolle predicts huge storms, earthquakes, volcanoes and other natural disasters calling the Moon’s approach an “extreme super Moon.

As if that was not enough Uranus enters the sign of Aries this weekend (March 12-13), and will be at the Aries Point or AP, at 0 degrees Aries.  Uranus is the planet of unpredictability, suddenness and a whole host of other adjectives that will not put your mind at ease.  Still, the Moon was pretty close 18 years ago, and we still are here, but that darn Uranus just seems to be up to no good.  To read this article here is the link:  http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20110310/sc_space/willmarch19supermoontriggernaturaldisasters.

Make sure you are caught up on all those “to do lists.”

Aho

Dreaming Is Your Right, and Your Destiny

Hello People,

I hope that your New Year is off to a roaring great start, if not I expect that it will soon begin for those of you that feel stuck or somehow alienated in your life experience.  For those of you unfamiliar with Astrology transiting Jupiter is leaving Pisces (nebulous, and dreamy) and moving across into Aries (action, accomplishment).  Right now Jupiter is at what Astrologers call the Aries Point or AP, 0 degrees any Action oriented Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn).  The AP is a theoretical point but no less important.

Transiting Jupiter is in every one’s Astrological chart whether you know this or not.  Everyone has an AP in their chart, (more…)

Jupiter As A Star and The Challenge of Belief

Hi All,

You must be wondering what I mean by suggesting that Jupiter may be, or may have been a star.  Well, please do not become confused by this because there is more to the picture than you may know.  Technically Jupiter falls under the classification of a star due to the fact that it radiates about twice as much heat, light, and radiation than it absorbs from the Sun.  Though I must tell you, Jupiter’s heat emanations come from an internal reservoir left over since its birth 4.6 billion years ago.  I find this interesting in light of the fact that Jupiter has been waltzing over the Aries Point, or AP (thrust of action) in the sign of Aries (Fire) for the last several months along with the planet Uranus, both in Direct and Retrograde motion.

This conjunction, or combination of Jupiter with Uranus at the AP strongly suggests that there is definitely a shift or challenge to religious, and spiritual beliefs.  Laws, whether they be social, international, cosmic, or universal, challenge is at the forefront.  As we have been seeing, there is (more…)

When Being Selective Misses the Point

Hi All,

I wanted to give the volcano eruption in Iceland (Eyjafjallojokull) a little bit of time so that I could do some research on it before attempting to delineate the event.  As it turns out there is not very much information on the volcano itself other than four yearly dates.  The information that I could glean was that there have been eruptions in 920; 1612; December 19, 1821; and March 20, 2010 @ 11:34 pm UT.  As you can see there are only two dates that include the month and the year, and only one date that gave a time.  The time for the 2010 eruption is open for debate but it is within a reasonable time period to cast a chart.

Through my research on this volcano I read many articles that attempted to pin several asteroids to the 2010 eruption; Ceres, Pelion, and Vesta.  The article that wove Ceres into the volcanic eruption (more…)

The Haiti Earthquake

Hi Folks,

This blog is for those of you that are interested in the intricacies of astrological and mathematical points and measurements.  My attempt here is to not get too involved in attempting to explain all the points but to bring to light some of the inner workings of transits and Solar Arcs or SA’s.  So please forgive me if I do not explain all of the information I am giving you, but try and visualize how completely accurate astrology can actually be.

Often, when attempting to delineate the charts of astrological events such as the recent earthquake in Haiti it becomes (more…)

Pluto and the Aries Point

Hi All,

Pluto’s character and content have of late been under assault.  Pluto was recently reduced from a planet to asteroid # 134340 (Sept 7 2006) by the Minor Planet Center.  The “Atomic Age” was heralded in after the discovery of Pluto (Feb 18 1930) by Clyde Tombaugh, an American astronomer.  Germany was ahead of everyone else in the development of the Atomic Bomb, as indicated by a letter from Albert Einstein (more…)
