Hi All,
Life is never short on drama, especially these days, and particularly in politics and sports. I remember way back to the time when I coached youth soccer and basketball. Fortunately for me the process of selecting the children for my teams allowed me the birth dates for each athlete. Although I did not have the times for their births, I did have the fundamental information for some rather significant insight into the nature of the children on my teams. Due to the small community I live in, I was also aware of the parent’s birth dates as well, which allowed me to determine the Level of each family.
When I speak of Level, I am of course talking about the general background of each child as well as their family such as the parent’s education, financial, and religious perspectives. The importance of this “Level” to which I am speaking is that children generally follow the life experience of their parents, grandparents, and great grandparents etc. As human beings, we tend not step too far outside the familial life experience, and when they do they are often labelled the “black sheep” of the family. There is no guarantee with Astrology, but it is a pretty safe bet that family tradition will triumph in this regard.
As a parent myself, I imagine that all parents seek to secure every advantage and insight for their newborn(s). For instance, I have spoken with parents that although they dearly loved their child, they often wished that there was more initiative (Aries, Capricorn), or less spontaneity (Uranus, Jupiter). Well, for the most part this child more than likely acquired both the good and the perceived bad attributes from the family experience and the family expression. I am continually amazed at how generation after generation, each family maintains its lock on anger, depression, alcoholism etc, without blinking an eye. Given the correct insight such as through Astrology, it would not be difficult to understand the reasons and expectations of these types of behaviors.
Let me give you an example of behavior from one of my goalies during soccer season. My goalie was a large boy with a seemingly intelligent and outwardly aggressive attitude. The first several games my goalie did relatively well since there had only been one goal made on him and only a hand full of shots on goal. His parents were proud of him and encouraged him to play this position since it was one of high focus and attention. Well it turned out that he really enjoyed the attention until the other teams started to score on us, or rather on him! He broke down and began crying, he could not handle the pressure.
I had the goalie’s birth information and I was concerned about him playing this position, a position that demands the ability to absorb negative attention. The trouble for him and this position was that he had an Aries Sun (me first, all about me) with a Pisces Moon (Sensitive and the desire to blend in with his environment). However, the parents really wanted him to play this position, and he wanted to play this position. Since it was recreational soccer I wanted to fulfill the players desires as well as the parent’s desire to see their children participate. After his breakdown he never played (at his insistence) the position again which I completely agreed with. His parents were shocked at first but thankfully understood their child’s needs; many other parents in sports are never able to grasp this concept and thoroughly damage their children because of it.
So, as parents, if you understood Astrology and its archetypal meanings you would have a leg up on the toddler, pre pubescent, and teenage years; especially the teenage years to which every parent I have spoken to are simply grateful to have survived them. If as a parent we wanted to see if the family disease of diabetes would affect the child they would know to look to the aspects between Venus and Jupiter. Or, if there is a family history of depression they would know to look at the signs and aspects between the Sun/Moon and Saturn. Perhaps we wished our child would work harder and save their money, you would then look to the sign that Mars is in, as well as the sign on the cusp of the second house (just to name a few clues). These are basic examples, but with much more information for those that have studied Astrology.
If you wish to have a better understanding of yourself as well as your loved ones, contact a certified and competent Astrologer for a consultation, and or lessons. Better yet contact your local Astrological organization for classes and workshops! The study of Astrology is not an easy one, nor is it short one. Astrology is a life long process, but better late than never I say!
Aho
