Hi All,
As an Astrologer many of my clients come to me when their lives have become too uncomfortable, too difficult. It happens to us all, sooner or later, but there are remedies for these disruptions in life. I am amazed at how many people refuse to acknowledge or own their creative gifts. Give this a little thought would you? I mean, we have allowed ourselves to become over booked in almost every department in our lives. Do you remember when you were a child, and the first thing you thought to do upon waking was to get dressed, and tear outside for some fun? Remember that feeling of exuberance and happiness you felt way back then?
Yes, yes, I know, life has become so much more complicated since those halcyon days of our young lives. We are now adults, in an adult world……right? I need to ask you one question though; who made, or makes this adult world that you live in? Sure, I understand that there are certain, if not many responsibilities that we have “chosen” to accept, and or decline. Still, it really is up to us in deciding which, and what realities we assume once we have reached adulthood. It is through creativity that you may find your saving grace, and the fifth house is where you will find it.
Creativity is a necessary expression for our happiness and well being, and all too often we simply ignore this. The fifth house in your astrological chart is the house that shows the creative talents you have (among other abilities), even the latent talents that many of us only slightly become aware of later on in life. It is here that an individual can jump in with both feet because these are your creative talents. The creative talents that are suggested in any one person’s chart are sometimes blaring out at you from a different house due to planetary placement and ruler ship. There may be several planets in your fifth house, then again there may not be a single one, but the planet that does rule the fifth has to be somewhere, right?
Let us say that you do not have a single planet in your fifth house, what then? Well, then you look for the planet that does rule your fifth house, and you locate where it resides. Just because a house may be empty does not lessen its meaning, or suggest that it is not powerful, or unimportant. Once you find the planet that rules your fifth house look to see what house and sign it is in. Does this planet(s) mathematically interact with any of the other planets? Did you know that a planet that does not make any major astrological aspects (Ptolemaic) to the other planets is an extremely important one? Metaphorically speaking, an unaspected planet is very much like a runaway train.
Let me give you an example in theory for locating the planetary ruler of your fifth house, and subsequent connections. Let us say that the sign of Pisces is on your fifth house cusp (Scorpio Rising). The planet that rules the sign of Pisces is Neptune. We then locate where Neptune is in your chart. For those of you born in the 60′s, Neptune is more than likely in the sign of Scorpio. With a Pisces fifth house cusp, Neptune will most probably reside in the first house (maybe the 12th). With Neptune in Scorpio, look to find its ruler, Pluto, which is more than likely in the 11th house (maybe the 10th) in the sign of Virgo. Then, find the ruler of Virgo which is Mercury, until the dots no longer connect.
Pisces on the fifth house cusp suggests the arts, such as music, making or being in the movies, or painting as examples. With Neptune in Scorpio one can find a strong emotional intensity which can help those that use emotion and feeling in their creative lives, such as music or other forms of entertainment. Neptune in the first house again suggests a strong sensitivity, and again musical abilities. Intuition plays a prominent role here as well, and can help dramatically in translating a beautiful piece of music or art. Connecting Pluto and Mercury to this schematic strongly suggests an analytical approach to composing music, or writing about it as a music critic as just two examples.
What I am attempting to drive home here is that your house of creativity has so much more to offer you than you realize. Whether it is an artistic expression or an athletic one, there is so much more to you than you ever realized. Think about it, and then give me a call!
Aho
